Missions & Outreach

Impact Near
and Far

Although we are centered in the greater Charlotte area of the Carolinas, we serve a BIG God of a BIG world, and our desire to bring the love and hope of Jesus Christ doesn't stop at the borders of our immediate area. Lakeshore is currently partnered with several different ministries locally and globally, and we invite you to partner with us to go beyond in our community and our world!

Lakeshore Pantry

The Lakeshore Pantry exists to provide individuals and families of York & Gaston Counties with gifts of food during difficult economic seasons. Lakeshore Christian Fellowship began this endeavor in the summer of 2010. Currently we offer a food give from two different locations each month. At each of these locations, everyone is warmly welcomed, served refreshments and then given an inspirational Christ-centered devotional message before the food is distributed. On average we serve approximately 80 families, totaling 240 bags of food.

Love My City

Our first ministry as a church is to those who are closest to us. For that reason we want it to be abundantly clear that we LOVE our communities. Throughout the year we look for ways to partner with our cities and communities in ways that bring impact – from coaching sports teams, to participating in craft fairs. From being active in our schools to helping with food drives like the Boy Scouts of America "Scouting for Food." In addition, we support larger initiatives like our 4th of July First Responders outreach, a Thanksgiving meal drive, and unique Valentine's Day outreach called Flowers 29:11. Speak Up

Speak Up is a 501(c)(3) Public Charity that began as a printed magazine designed to empower people facing homelessness. Since 2011 Speak Up has served as a platform for dignity and unity among often marginalized groups, and through community writing groups, invites people from so-called impassable chasms – homeless versus non-homeless, this race versus that race, left versus right, my way versus your way – to do the deeply human work of creating, writing, and sharing together.

Isaiah 117 House

When children are removed from their homes out of concern for their safety, they are usually brought to a child welfare services office to await placement. This wait can be a few hours to several days. These children often have nothing with them and are scared, lonely, hungry, and in dirty clothing. Isaiah 117 provides a comforting home where these children instead can be brought to wait – a place that is safe with friendly and loving volunteers who provide clean clothes, smiles, toys, and snuggly blankets. This space allows children to receive the comfort and care they need while child welfare staff can do the necessary paperwork and identify a good placement. The mission of Isaiah 117 House is threefold: (1) reduce trauma for children awaiting placement, (2) lighten the load for child welfare services, and (3) ease the transition for foster families.
