hearing god through his word

Bible
Reading

The Bible is God's voice in written form. The key is to approach reading your Bible as an invitation, not just a task or box to check off. It is all about knowing God, understanding His heart, and learning about the great purpose He has for you.

A House
of Truth

"You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

John 8:32
Lakeshore is called to be a people and a place of uncompromising, spirit-led truth - a house where the anointed teaching of God's Word brings freedom, healing, and supernatural power to our lives.

It's a story of redemption, not just rules

The Bible tells the story of God's love for humanity: from our creation, to the life of Jesus, to what's still ahead. It's more than moral guidance; it's a revelation of who God is and how He's always at work in our lives.

"But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." - John 20:31

It all points to Jesus

From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reveals Jesus as the center of God's plan. Whether you're reading a historical account, a parable, a song, or a prophecy, ask, "What does this show me about Jesus?"

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." - John 3:16-17

Small steps lead to deep roots

You do not need to read the whole Bible in a month (but you can if you want!). It is okay to start slow and pace yourself. You can begin with Genesis, a gospel like John's, or even read a psalm a day. Ask simple questions: "What does this teach me about God? How can I apply it to my own life?" Consistency is more important than quantity.

"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin." - Zechariah 4:10

"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

Hebrews 4:12
