OUR SENIOR PASTORS

Gil & Debbie
Dirmann

Pastors Gil & Debbie came to Lakeshore in July 2003 with over 20 years of hands-on ministry experience and expertise. Their passion is seeing people walk in the truth of God's Word and the freedom found in Christ Jesus!

Pastor Gil's ministry experience began in Southern California in 1990, where he served on staff at Valley Community Church and was later the Vice President of Advancement at Life Pacific University before coming to pastor Lakeshore. Pastor Gil has held several different leadership roles within the Foursquare denomination, including Regional Superintendent roles and executive councils for pastoral licensing, and currently serves at the Atlantic District Associate Supervisor.

Pastors Gil & Debbie have been married since 1986 and have three adult children, who are all married and serving the Lord, along with seven grandchildren.

Our Structure

We are one church with multiple locations.

SENIOR + CAMPUS PASTORS

Led by our Senior Pastor, Gil Dirmann, Lakeshore is a multi-site church that features both live worship and live teaching at each location. Lakeshore utilizes a teaching team model, whereby the Senior Pastor and Campus Pastors meet to prayerfully plan and prepare the messages for each week, and then messages are delivered live at each location. This ensures spiritual unity across all locations while allowing for each to have its own personal feel.

CHURCH GOVERNANCE

Lakeshore operates under the umbrella of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel (Foursquare). As such, its church governance model is based upon a "modified Episcopal" paradigm. This means that it seeks to balance denominational accountability with local church autonomy. Lakeshore is accountable to a Regional Supervisor, but is given the freedom to make most decisions without denominational intervention.
At the church level, the Senior Pastor has the authority to make decisions. However, in order to maintain a healthy system of checks-and-balances Lakeshore utilizes a church council, comprised of highly integrous men and women from each campus, serving 2-year terms, who help provide wisdom, council and advice regarding finances and personnel.

From a small community church in Tega Cay, SC, to now serving 3 permanent locations along with missional partnerships both near and far, we believe that God has strategically positioned us and called this house to be a place that is both a bridge for those looking experience the depths of who God really is, and an oasis of healing for those who need rest from religion and burnout.

We Are A House Of Prayer

We will be a people and a place of faith-filled, spirit-led prayer - a house where prayer is our starting place in all things and for all things. We will pray first, pray often, and pray continually.

We will be a people and a place of spirit-filled worship - a house where praise, worship, and the presence of God are among our greatest priorities. We will be a home for His presence - a place where the Holy Spirit is welcomed, celebrated, and given the freedom to move in people's lives.

We Are A House Of Truth

We will be a people and a place of uncompromising, spirit-led truth - a house where the anointed teaching of God's Word brings freedom, healing, and supernatural power to our lives.

We Are A House For The Next Generation

We will be a people and a place that passionately prioritizes reaching and equipping the next generation for Christ. Through discipleship, education, and training, a generation will be sent out - filled and empowered with the Holy Spirit - to build God’s house and advance His Kingdom on this earth.

We Are A House Of Service

We will be a people and a place of sacrificial service - serving the Lord, one another, our city, and world God has called us to. By the leading of the Holy Spirit, and through generosity, service, outreach, missions, and evangelism, we will leverage all God has given us to serve His purpose on the earth with eternity in mind.
